Dallas Cowboys Steal Joke From Deez and Big Country!

The NFL and The Adventures of Deez and Big Country - Two entities that rarely intersect.  That is, until the defensive coordinator of the Dallas Cowboys blatantly steals a joke from our website. That's right, Rob Ryan ripped us off and here is the proof from Sports Illustrated:

Here is the entire article:

If you look carefully, you'll notice that the article was printed in the September 19, 2011 issue of Sports Illustrated.  I guess we should be excited that Sports Illustrated printed a Deez Nuts joke.  But here is the very, very sad part.    On November 24th, 2010 we published the exact same joke:

For those of you too lazy to click on that link, here is the video evidence:

So, loyal fans of Deez and Big Country, I ask you a number of questions:
1. Is plagiarism the sincerest form of flattery?
2. Is this proof that the Dallas Cowboys read The Adventures of Deez and Big Country?
3. Should Rob Ryan be fired for this?
4. Will Rob Ryan at least have the decency to click on an ad when he steals our jokes?
5. Is our classic Indianapolis Colts joke Rob Ryan's next target for joke theft?

Rob Ryan, if you are reading this, we invite you to respond and explain yourself!

Five Second Rule

The Five Second Rule is a good rule to follow when you drop food on the floor. That said, it never hurts to increase your odds of avoiding illness by employing some 21st century technology.  That is, unless you are Deez, who has a history of misusing consumer safety products.

The Future's So Bright, Deez Should Wear Shades

Summer brings many things.   One of those things is the Sun.  Well, the Sun is always around, but for some reason it is brighter in the summer.   Lots of people love the sun.  It lets them replace skinny jeans with swimsuits.   It makes it warm enough to go to the beach.  But there is a darker side to the sun ... as Deez learned the hard way.
Why does Deez have bloodshot eyes?
It's not what you think!

Justin Bieber Visits The Scrobie Show

When Scrobie announced that Justin Bieber was coming to The Scrobie Show, had to hire extra security to ward off the throngs of screaming fans.  Oh, and he hired another one to watch out in case a Bieber fan showed up.  As is often the case in the world of Scrobie, his interview didn't go as planned ... will this be the incident that finally pushes Scrobie's trademark grin off his face?

Oprah Visits The Scrobie Show

Scrobie has finally hit the big time, landing his very own talk show named ... The Scrobie Show!

In a coup of epic proportions, Scrobie managed to land Oprah Winfrey as his very first guest.  Apparently, she had some free time after her talk show ended.  With Oprah stopping by and Sploogy manning things behind the Scenes, The Scrobie Show can't fail ... or can it?
Do you have what it takes to be interviewed by Scrobie?

New Jeans Blues

When Deez runs into Big Country, he thinks he has a win-win opportunity to show of his brand new jeans and hit Big Country with a joke in the process (to Deez a win-win means he wins twice).  Unfortunately for both of them, Big Country is well-versed in the health effects of wearing 'skinny jeans.'

Help Deez and Big Country Win A Contest!

UPDATE: Deez and Big Country entered this episode in the Annecy 2011 Animated Film Contest on Youtube.  Sadly, this video did not win.  At first, Deez thought there was some foul play at work.  After all, how could he not win when he himself voted 100 times?  But then he realized that Annecy is French, which explained everything.  Nevertheless, the episode is still awesome and everyone should watch it twice a  day.

Thanks to everyone who voted!

Scrobie Sidekick Auditions - Bushwacker

WARNING: This cartoon is intended for mature audiences only.  Well, actually, it is intended for immature audiences only.  The point is, you probably don't want to watch this one with your kids ... unless you are one of those parents who believes that your children should be exposed to everything the world has to offer to prepare them for life.  In that case, go ahead and watch with the entire family.  Just consider yourself forewarned.

After attacking his last candidate, a maniacal one-eyed pyramid bent on world domination, Scrobie promises to be nicer to the next interviewee.  Luckily, this candidate is easy to love.  Alas, even the charms of shrubbery fail to win Scrobie over.

As Deez and Big Country continue their self-imposed hiatus (don't worry, they'll be back), we continue with the epic tale of Scrobie.  In our last episode, Scrobie's quest to find the sidekick he needs to vault himself into the upper echelon of cartoon characters got off to a rough start with Durex Jones.

Scrobie is more intrigued by his second contestant, a frosted donut appropriately named Donutella.

We continue our detour from the exciting adventures of Deez and Big Country to continue our examination of America's next great cartoon character - Scrobie!

With looks, fame, and the kind of fortune that can only be accumulated through merchandising and endorsement deals, Scrobie has it all.   The only thing holding him back from being considered America's top cartoon hero is his his lack of a sidekick ... and the fact that his adventures are not particularly heroic.  Putting your life in harm's way is dangerous, but holding sidekick auditions is not.  So, in this episode, Scrobie holds his first sidekick audition.  Will it be his last?

At this time, we take a detour from the usual adventures of Deez and Big Country to showcase America's next great cartoon character - Scrobie!  Scrobie has been called "what you'd get if Spongebob Squarepants mated with a Pokemon and that offspring was dropped off on the front porch of the Telletubbies who subsequently gave that abandoned baby to the Smurfs to raise."

I'm not exactly sure what all of that means, but in his debut episode, Scrobie goes on vacation.

Scout's Honor

Like most people in America, Deez can't resist ordering girl scout cookies.  Unlike most people in America, Deez also can't resist the urge to tell an inappropriate joke to the poor girl scout who delivers them to him.

video

Baseball is American as apple pie.  Unless it is played in Canada, in which case it is more accurate to say it is as 'North American' as apple pie.  In any case, baseball became a little bit more American when one of the Canadian teams moved from Montreal to Washington, D.C.  Even though Montreal's team is gone, its memory will live on forever ... if Deez and Big Country have anything to say about it!

The Secret Life of Deez (Part Two)

video

When word of what Deez has been up to since he lost his job spreads, Big Country is especially curious.  While reading an autobiography written by Deez doesn't sound like a particularly good way to spend his free time, Big Country's curiosity eventually wins out.  After all, Andrew didn't give a whole lot of details about what was in the book when he mentioned Deez was working on a book.*  What could Deez possibly write about?  Is there something about Deez that Big Country doesn't know?  When he asks Deez to read his most recent draft, he gains valuable insight into ... A Very Special Episode

video

In the TV world, the 'very special episode' is the sitcom episode that deals with a serious issue.  Usually something bad happens and the characters have to tackle the dramatic situation.  In the process, the viewers learn a lesson.   These episodes are usually not funny or even entertaining.  The final characteristic of the very special episode is that you never hear about what happened ever again.  Someone will get fondled or become addicted to drugs and they are totally over it by the next episode.

For example, on Saved by the Bell, Jessie Spano got hooked on caffeine pills.  The next week she was fine, though it could be argued the long term effects of caffeine abuse were responsible for her stripping in the movie Showgirls.   Full House had at least two very special episodes.  In one, Stephanie Tanner tried a cigarette.  In the other, DJ got an eating disorder.  While I think you can quit smoking after trying one, I don't think you can just stop having an eating disorder.  Diff'rent Strokes put a new connotation to the show's name when Arnold and Kimberly were abducted by a guy while hitchhicking and I guess the dude was trying to molest them (Side note: Arnold's competition Webster had two awesome very special episodes).   Then there was the episode on Who's the Boss where Tony realized his tomboy daughter Sam was growing boobies.  Talk about a special episode!

Ok, I'm getting off track here.  The point of all this is, this is the "very special episode" of The Adventures of Deez and Big Country.  For the first time, Deez and Big Country deal with a serious issue.  It's just like the very special episodes you are used to on TV, except you probably won't learn anything.

Editor's note: This episode can be viewed as the prelude to the Secret Life of Deez miniseries event.

Fantasy Football?

video

When Deez saw that the Colts once again made the NFL playoffs, he decides to test Big Country's football trivia knowledge.  Peyton Manning would be proud.  Actually, if he watched this episode, he'd probably just feel kinda yucky.  So, if any of you know Peyton Manning's email address, make sure to forward this link to him!
